When to visit Hunza, Skardu and Naran

Naran and Shogran are busiest from June to August. Saif-ul-Malook jeeps run when the lake road is clear; after heavy rain the jeep queue can take half a day.

Hunza is beautiful in April–May for blossoms and in October for autumn colour. Khunjerab is usually a late-spring to autumn attempt and can close without notice.

Skardu flights cancel in poor weather. Always keep a road-day buffer. Deosai is typically a July–September conversation, not a May one.

Fairy Meadows needs trekking fitness. Do not book it as a “hotel holiday”. Cottages are basic; the viewpoint is the point.
